Discover LEAP - the Literacy, Entrepreneurship and Artistic Publishing K-5th Grade Summer Camp
ABOUT THE CAMP
This incredible initiative works toward two goals: empowering kids to unleash their creativity through reading and writing, while giving them a glimpse into the fascinating universe of book-selling and self-publishing.
By the end of the free program, your child will have published their very own book! Each child will have the opportunity to sell their books to their friends and family and keep a portion of the proceeds. Empower and inspire your children this summer at LEAP Camp!
In addition to reading enrichment and receiving instruction and guidance in crafting their own children’s books, LEAP campers can look forward to fun DIY snacks with Taste of Storytime, engaging activities and field trips!
On Saturday, Aug. 1, the LEAP Camp concludes at the Kansas Literacy Festival, hosted at Wichita Public Library (Angelou Northeast Branch) featuring a book signing event to unveil each LEAPers' book.

LEAP Summer Camp is available to 30 campers and runs
from June 15 - July 24, 2026 | 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday
